Have you ever wanted to learn how to sew your own swimsuit? In this two-part workshop you will have the chance to learn all about sewing with stretchy fabrics and complete your very own bikini set! There will be several fabrics to choose from, options will be sent out prior to the workshop.

Level I: is for the advanced beginner that has some sewing experience. You will be sewing a basic bikini with a triangle top

Level II: is for students that have already taken the bikini workshop with Rose OR have experience sewing with knits. You will be sewing a reversible bikini bottom with hook and eye closure style top OR triangle top

We will cover things like:

The difference between lingerie and swimwear elastic and how to attach it
How to use a serger
What goes into a bikini top to actually make it fit well
Tips for choosing fabrics
And much more!

Very Knowledgeable

I really enjoyed this class and came away with many tips and tricks that I can't wait to use. She did a great job going through all the steps and letting everyone practice. She found a way to work with all levels of sewing abilities. The patterns she chose for Part I were easy to make and very cute. She is very sweet and has a very calm and inviting demeanor.

Her experience in the industry and the knowledge about all types of suits were amazing because she has great artistic point of view. When I saw all of her creations it really encouraged me to try some fun stuff. I can't wait for Part II.

I really loved the bikini-making class with Rose. I consider myself an intermediate beginner when it comes to sewing and really enjoyed this class with Rose.

First off, I really appreciated how I didn't feel rushed in this class and had ample time to practice working with sewing elastic and practicing working with the serger. I still feel like I have a lot of practice to do. However, I highly recommend this class to anyone looking for more advanced hands-on experience while learning from a kind, and patient teacher. Thank you so much!

Packed with great tips

Firstly, Rose is lovely and one cannot ignore that when looking for a class that you might (wrongly) consider to be a bit frivolous. She's also incredibly talented both as a sewist as an artist so all that is rather helpful, but it's only helpful in this setting if you're able to share that knowledge and I found that she did. We all had different things tripping us up and Rose was able to move from student to student and make sure we learned what we'd hoped.

This class paid for itself rather quickly. I needed some tips and tricks for stretchy material and elastic, after the first session I came home and fixed my favorite discontinued tennis dress. I wouldn't have gotten the tips I needed scouring youtube and hoping for the best.
