Intro to Patchwork with Rose Ponizil

Ever wonder what to do with leftover fabric scraps?  Patchwork is an excellent way to put those pieces to use and create a little work of art.

In this beginners workshop you will learn some basic techniques for sewing patchwork like making a "log cabin" block and checkers (the fast and easy way!)

All materials will be provided and each student will have the chance to make their very own, one-of-a-kind, patchwork block. This workshop is perfect for someone who is new to sewing, or someone who has some sewing experience, but wants a refresher.  It's similar to our regular Intro to Sewing class, but more focused on creativity and less technical. More experienced sewists are welcome too!

Age 16 and up.

Please see our FAQ page for general studio Q&A’s. By signing up for this workshop, you are agreeing to our  Booking and Cancellation Policy.

Sooo much fun!

I’m a lazy creative. I need someone to sit me down in a chair, line up all the materials and coach me. Rosie did just that. She’s a great teacher; patient and supportive. She was there when I needed help and gave me lots of space to create and make wonderful mistakes. My patchwork creation is taped to the wall in my office. Smiling at me. Thanks Rosie!

Splendid Sewing

A throwback to another era when I’d spend summer afternoons, sewing with my sisters. Rosie is a patient and knowledgeable instructor. She created a beautiful space, nurturing our artistic inclinations through sewing.
